Artist's Description
This is an image of Grizzly Bear #760 from Grand Teton National Park. The image of this sub-adult male grizzly was shot when he was two and a half years old and recently separated from his mother, Grizzly Bear #610. Bear 760, nicknamed 'Jim Bear' was raised close by the main roads in Teton park and was comfortable in the presence of people. In the fall of 2014 he was moved to an area east of Yellowstone National Park. After migrating away from an area of large male bears, he apparently decided he wanted a hunted deer strung up in a tree. When he didn't back down, Wyoming officials killed the beloved bear, breaking the hearts of many Teton regulars who had fondly observed this bear grow up. ID=NP8_2331Ns.jpg. As a discipline, photography necessitates a delicate balance between skilled technical merit and artistic vision. Few artistic...
